LUCKNOW: Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, reviewed police, fire, and women’s safety at a high-level Home Department meeting on Saturday (October 29). CM Yogi stated that cyber security is a crucial problem in the current day. It is now necessary to establish a cyber crime police station in each district of the state. He instructed the officials to prepare a thorough action plan in this regard as soon as possible.

In the state, the fight against illegal drug production, sales, and trafficking need to be stepped up. In sensitive districts, the police and intelligence services will need to be improved even more. Borders between states and between countries should be watched more closely. The Urban Development and Rural Development Department will have to work with the Home Department on this campaign. With better coordination, the drug mafia should be dealt with in the strictest way possible.

Uttar Pradesh has borders with Nepal and the states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Delhi. Border management is important for both economic growth and safety.

Officers who are young, have big ideas, and are full of energy should be put in charge of police stations, tehsils, and development blocks in border districts. In all departments, there should be enough people to do the job. Make sure that all eligible people in all border districts get the help they need from Central and State Government programmes. The schemes in these districts should be looked at separately to see how they are going.

People from the neighbouring state or country move into the border districts. In this case, these districts are like “brand ambassadors” for us in other states or countries. It is important that the people in charge of this place work together. There should be mandis, shopping centres, malls, good schools, and better ways to get around in these areas. This is where planned efforts should go.

In border districts, the state police and SSB teams should work together to do patrols. Keep working together with SSB better. In this day and age, cyber security is a must. In every district of the state, there needs to be a cyber police station. Prepare and send in as soon as possible a detailed action plan in this area.

Working with the National Forensic University in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the work on the forensic institute being built in Lucknow should be sped up. Certificate, diploma, and degree courses should be made here. The way “Fire No Objection Certificates” are given out needs to be changed and made more useful. Along with this, the Fire Act should also be made better by making other changes that are needed.

The “Safe City Project” is helping to make sure that women are safe, respected, and able to take care of themselves. Through this project, the state has gotten a Modern Control Room under the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, a Pink Police Booth, an Asha Jyoti Kendra, CCTV cameras, a help desk for counsellors in women’s police stations, panic buttons in buses, and other security measures.

In recent years, we have all seen how important CCTV cameras are for keeping women safe and stopping crime. With the installation of the Integrated Traffic Management System as part of the Smart City Project, cities now have smarter security systems. CCTV cameras were put up with the help of a lot of money from business owners. We need to make a big deal out of it. To make more cities “safe cities,” people will have to work on financial management through convergence and coordination between departments.

Home, Urban Development, Housing, Institutional Finance, and State Tax Departments should work together to make a plan for securing all public places with things like CCTV cameras, pink toilets, panic buttons in buses, etc., with the help of the public.

Given how useful the Safe City project is, it can be made available to all city governments. In this case, a detailed plan of action should be made using convergence as a guide.

The Uttar Pradesh Police are the country’s biggest civilian police force. People all over the country and the world are praising the Uttar Pradesh Police for how well they do their jobs. The police force should be brought up to date by doing everything that needs to be done. No matter what training or equipment is needed, it should be done right away.
